What tricks?

There is one that just pisses me off. It doesnt stop you from shopping but does make you come back to the dealer again. It is usually done so slightly you do not realize it until you return to the dealer. As you are negotiating for the vehicle, you reach a point where the dealership cannot sell the vehicle without losing money. The salesperson will start asking you if you would purchase it if the price was this. If you say no, then they will ask again at a lower price and if you say no again they will ask if you will purchase it at a lower price, and repeat it until they get you to a price at which they know another dealer will not sell the vehicle, usually $2,000 to $3,000 below invoice. You will notice they do not get up and go to see if they can sell the vehicle at that price, just if I could, would you? When they reach the price they think another dealer could not sell the vehicle. hen they say, Before you purchase the vehicle for more than that, come back and see me. When you come back and tell them you will do their price, the salesman says, Let me go talk to my sales manager. Guess what? I can not do that price, but my manager says I can do this price They then start the negotiations again.
